Brexit Extension Granted until January 31, 2020
CIBT is your go-to source on the impacts of Brexit to your travel program. On October 28th, 2019, the European Union approved a new extension of the Article 50 period effectively postponing Brexit as late as January 31, 2020. The new “flextension” allows the UK to withdraw from the EU earlier than January 31, 2020, if the Withdrawal Agreement is ratified in time. The government is now set to host a December 12th election in an attempt to regain a Conservative Party majority, which could lead to a new government, with a new Brexit policy.

While a Halloween Brexit has officially been avoided, there are still several possible outcomes that citizens and businesses need to prepare for including a no-deal Brexit, a ratified Withdrawal Agreement and exit, a further extension, or a revocation of Article 50. CIBT and our immigration experts at Newland Chase are monitoring the situation closely and are here to provide you with essential tools and help you successfully navigate this rapidly changing landscape. Click here to view our Brexit page, which is continuously updated as new information is released. Read our No-Deal Brexit FAQs and watch our on-demand webinar about the Next Steps for Your Business. Whatever the Brexit outcome, CIBT and Newland Chase will continue to provide innovative services and an exceptional visa and immigration experience to our travelers and their businesses.
